de Havilland Aeronautical Technical School Group Photographs 1943-1962

It was the practice for each entry of the de Havilland Aeronautical Technical School students to be photographed. The official copies of these apparently no longer exist. Ken Watkins has compiled an album of all those submitted by former students. The complete Album contains formal and informal group photographs (the latter old and new), plus some airfield views. The images are to a higher resolution than the selection in this on-line article, which has been created for quick download. There are still “missing” group photos and some faces remain unidentified on existing photos. If you were a former student, please do look at these images and let us know if you can help. Please - has anyone any photos of the January 1950 intake at Stag Lane? Official ones preferably, but any - partial, informal whatever will be appreciated. Mark Hartridge. Note: responses to this request, or indeed offers of any group photos not shown in our Group Photographs article, should be made using the enquiry form link (last paragraph on the "Contact us" page.) I was an apprentice in 1942 at Kingsbury, transferred to Hatfield in 1945. Have a number of DH Gazettes and sure that there are pics of Chester in some. I used to be in touch with Wynne Legg, who died in November 2005.
