- I attended the Chester Branch from 1953 to 1957 and transfered to Christchurch in that year. It would be great if you have located photos from the 1953 intake

- Whoops! My years with the Tech School should have read '1956 - 61' (must be the advancing years!).

- In all these years, I didn't realise this site existed! I was an Indentured Engineer Apprentice (1959 - 61) at Chester and have fond memories of the plant and it's people. I achieved my great ambition in joining the (9.00 am start!) boys on the TOP FLOOR (Design Office) within the confines of Frank Tollow's Charm School. I then remained with Dennis Bishop's team until I joined the 'Great British Brain Drain' to the USA, working with Lockheed (Galaxy) and then Boeing at Seattle (747, 767). I later changed direction for a few years and studied Architecture and Civil Engineering, working with architects, large companies and councils. I ended my working days at BNFL's headquarters. Being a photographic nut, I got to know Jack (DH's photographer at Chester) and I still have a few pics that he gave me, also pictures of myself receiving the company's 'Top Award' in the Suggestion Scheme. I will try and set up some pictures if anyone is interested. I managed to attend one of the reunion dinners at Chester, a few years back. Best Wishes to all. George Lewis

- As a former Hawker Siddely apprentice and employee (1972 - 1979) I am interested in anything associated with my roots in aviaition. I have searched without success for any sites that may have old photographs of the Chester factory. During my time with HSA, the Works Photographer was always seen taking pictures around the factory and the neighbouring airfield. What happened to all those photographs that were taken? I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to have a chance to view them.
