Fascinating and very informative. I remember David Tipper from working in Aerodynamics together under John Hall, on DH 121 lateral stability. I did read some time ago that Geoffrey always flew with one had on the throttle and that when the 108 went unstable longitudinally on its fatal flight, the stick force was probably too great for one-handed recovery. Unfortunately I do not remember where or when I read it.
