Open Days at Hatfield
After several years in the mid 1970s when Hatfield had nothing to show, Open Days were resumed in 1979. This article has links to the programmes for 1966, 1968, 1979-1984, 1986, 1987 and 1989, also to the Charity Air Day in 1992, scanned to pdf from original copies. Access to each is by its underlined year title below (right click if you want them to open in new tabs). The 1968 programme was contributed in May 2026 by Alain Skelding, to whom we are grateful.
For 1974 and 1985 only images of the cover are available.

- When I was a teenage spotter in Liverpool we ( coach load of young Scousers) arrived at Hatfield one Saturday morning between 1971 and 1975 (on our way to an airshow somewhere or maybe for a later visit to the RAF museum at Hendon). All I can remember about that is that we saw a wooden mock-up of a Bae 146. Would this have been 1974 and what else was on display that could possibly jog my memory? Thanks for any insights.
