Children’s Encyclopedia ‘Picture Story of an Aeroplane’

The Children's Encyclopedia was originated by Arthur Mee and published by the Educational Book Company, a subsidiary of Northcliffe's Amalgamated Press, London. It was published from 1908 to 1964. In one issue of the late 1930s there was a series of photographs taken “in the works of the de Havilland Aircraft Co.” They are reproduced here from scans made by Ted Lawrence.
